JARA Wellness. *Jara* means journey, and the spa sits in the jungle at the heart of the site under the old ficus that gives it its philosophy: 5 pillars — root for nutrition and energy, trunk for fitness, branch for anti-ageing, blossom for beauty and pleasure, spirit for mind and body. Treatment rooms look down the coast. The signature is the Royal Trisara 6-hand massage: 3 therapists working together with warm oils and herbal compresses, which is a genuinely different experience from an ordinary one. JARA Discoveries are curated journeys built to the 5 pillars that can run for an afternoon or across several days, and Move in Nature puts a trainer on the beach or in the forest rather than in a studio.
Tennis, the Gym, and Muay Thai. Two courts with a pro on call, a gymnasium, and Muay Thai with a trainer — all of it included in the rate, which is not universal on this island. There is yoga and meditation on a sala above the sea, and a complimentary wellbeing series that runs to a set schedule rather than on request.
The Farm, and Where the Food Comes From. Pru Jampa is Trisara's own organic farm inland, and it is not a herb bed behind the kitchen — it is the closed-loop system JAMPA cooks off, and the reason PRU's ingredients trace back to a single, known farm. Guests go out to it. The Local Roots Market gathers the farmers, artisans and educators the group works with for workshops and a day of it, and Little Farmers puts children in the beds. Biodiversity conservation on the headland runs as a full programme with its own booklet.
DDEN. An in-house digital studio — film and stills — that will spend a day with you on the property or around the island and produce something closer to a short film than a holiday album. It is an unusual thing for a hotel to own. Book it early in the stay; the light they want is the same light you want.
