All 61 villas and suites have a private pool and an ocean view, so the question most Phuket houses make you answer is already settled. What is left is size, bedroom count, how high up the headland you sit, and ocean view against ocean front. Price follows size and bedroom count more than position, so the cheapest way to sit directly above the water is not at the top of the list.
The Ocean View Pool Villa and the Ocean Front Pool Villa are both 240 square metres, both take a king bed and one extra bed, and both sleep 3 adults, or 2 adults with 2 children. The difference is where they sit. View villas sit higher up the slope, looking over the tree canopy to the water.
Front villas sit on the seaward edge, with the Andaman directly below and the sound of it in the room. The front villas cost more, and it is the one upgrade here that changes how the week feels.
The Ocean View Pool Junior Suite is the entry grade, at 135 square metres, and sits at the top of the resort with the widest panoramic view on the property. It takes 2 adults, with no extra bed available. Its water is a floating reflection pool: shallow, still, set into the garden canopy, made for looking at rather than swimming.
The Signature Ocean View Pool Suite is the first grade with a pool you can swim in, with a 9-metre infinity edge, and takes 2 adults and 2 children, with one extra bed available.
The Signature Ocean View Pool Suite spends its 230 square metres on a living room with its own dining area and a sofa that converts to a bed, which is what makes it work for 2 adults and 2 children.
The Ocean View Pool Villa and the Ocean Front Pool Villa put their 240 into a freestanding house and a larger deck, and both take 3 adults. They cost about the same and are shaped differently. A family with small children wants the suite. A couple planning to live outdoors wants the villa.
The 2-Bedroom Ocean Front Pool Villa is the largest of the hotel rooms, at 300 square metres, and sleeps 6. The residences start above it: privately owned houses let as part of the resort, running from 375 square metres to 9,711, and from 2 bedrooms to 10.
A residence adds what a villa does not: a dedicated cook and housekeepers who live with it, a working kitchen, and in the larger ones a private chef and butler. For 4 adults and up, that matters more than the square metres do.
Villa No. 12 sits on an 800-square-metre deck directly above the north end of the beach, with a 20-metre pool.
Villa No. 31 (Villa Pattama) sits on the southern point, with sea on two sides and a private lift between its levels.
Villa No. 4 is a two-in-one villa with a 25-metre pool, a gym, a spa room and a steam room.
Villa No. 32 has a martini bar and a cascading waterfall staircase.
Villa No. 8 (Villa Sawan) has 10 bedrooms, 3 living rooms, a cinema and its own restricted-access cove. The bedroom count on the card sorts the list; it does not describe the villa.
Villas Nos. 9, 23, 32, 34, 35, 36, 38 and 39 have no nightly price here. Give the concierge your dates and party size, and the price comes back against them.
