Where you stay decides which Singapore you get. Raffles has been on Beach Road since 1887, a white colonial hotel under a red tile roof. The Fullerton Bay Hotel is a glass front on the waterfront at Marina Bay, next to Clifford Pier. Capella is out on Sentosa, just over 10 minutes from the centre, in 30 acres of gardens and rainforest.
