The terrace is cut into the hill below the west front.
From a table at the water the whole face of the palace stands over you: jharokhas up the wall, a chhatri with a dark dome, and the crenellated parapet along the top of it.
When nothing is moving in the water the building is in it upside down. Frangipani grows along the upper edge, and there is a low daybed at the very lip of the water that is the seat to ask for.
