A painted mural of cranes and blossoming trees runs the length of one wall, jade-green panelling and cane-backed chairs set at round tables underneath it.
The whole Peking duck is carved at the table, cucumber and kumquat with the pancakes and hoisin, and can be ordered by the half or the whole bird. An Oscietra caviar addition is offered alongside it.
Chef Mehmet İpar runs the pass. He is Turkish, and he learned to cook in Cantonese kitchens — which is why the menu moves from dim sum to wagyu dumplings to a steamed sea bass without ever sounding like one restaurant.
