The pavilion is round, and the ceiling inside it is painted gold with a single lantern hanging at the centre.
The floor is chequered marble and the bar stands under the same roof, so you can order without leaving the shade.
The pool comes right up to the seating, with steps and a handrail going down into it. From a low chair the pool and the lake are one piece of water.
What comes over the counter is mostly bright: dragonfruit over crushed ice with a slice cut for the rim, mango in a coupe, something clear with a herb sprig standing in it.
