The terrace is 2 white columns wide and open to the sea between them, with a slatted screen overhead laying lines of shade on the floor.
The chairs are low timber, turned outward rather than in.
Tea comes in a small dark pot on a tray. Past the chairs the ground gives way to a band of white pebbles, then to water, and there is nothing else to look at.
