One long counter runs the length of the room to the kitchen at the end of it, under a black beam lit orange along its underside.

Behind the chefs the wall is green glazed brick, floor to ceiling.

Some of the cooking comes to you. A small charcoal grill is set down among the sashimi and the bamboo steamers, and it stays there while you eat.

The teppanyaki is somewhere else entirely: a long table with a steel griddle down the middle of it, orange woven chairs ranged along it, and the jungle standing close on both sides. There is a single round table laid outside in the garden as well, for the nights when none of that appeals.
