Regional pastries on Ginori china
Bar · Daily

It is furnished like a sitting room rather than a café, with tan leather armchairs and low tables among black-veined marble columns and shelves of books.
La Pasticceria is Niko Romito's set of 11 single-portion pastries, each from a different region of Italy and lighter than the traditional recipe. There is a cannolo from Sicily filled with ricotta and organic pistachio, a Monte Bianco from Piedmont made with natural chestnuts rather than purée, a babà from Naples soaked in rum and topped with cream and strawberries, and a hazelnut shortbread from Trentino made without butter.
The pastries come on colourful Ginori 1735 plates. At afternoon tea they arrive in small versions, with organic teas and savoury bites.
