A 10-seat private room, the Chairman's Room, opens off the Grand Lobby for the same North Indian menu.
It is decorated in emerald green with Victorian architectural detail, inspired by Sir Stamford Raffles' love of botany.
Dessert here comes paired with spirits rather than wine: a Pista Gulab Jamun beside an 8-year Indian rum, a Kesar Rasmalai beside a 20-year Cognac, a pistachio kulfi faloodah beside a 2018 Vin de Constance from South Africa.
