Tables on the deck are laid in white linen with a glass lantern on each — more formal than a deck usually is, and exactly right after dark.

The far bank is lawn down to the water.

The hamlet around it holds 26 villas, closed in on every side by lagoon and planting. Nobody passes through here on the way to anywhere.

The kitchen takes the north and the south equally seriously, Alpine dishes and Sicilian ones on one list, with wine chosen to go with them. Dress is smart casual.
