The coffee program runs 2 roasts and 3 cold-drip pours alongside breakfast, and the bakery downstairs turns out its own bread and pastry through the day.
A dessert on the card carries its own history: a sundae built to look like a plate of spaghetti, invented by a German ice-cream maker's son in 1969 and still made here exactly that way — the general manager's own favourite on the card.
By midday the same card turns from breakfast toward lunch and dinner without changing — a table at 2 in the afternoon and a table at 9 at night are handed the identical list. The pasta is rolled by hand from imported Italian flour, and it carries the same weight on the card as anything cooked over a curry pot or a grill.
