A double white staircase curves up on either side to a mezzanine hung with framed photographs, and wicker peacock chairs are set out beneath potted palms below.
It is one of the most photographed rooms in Bangkok, if not Thailand.
A smaller gathering can take one of the 4 adjoining lounges, with the same afternoon tea away from the open floor.
