Harbour Bar

The bar has been here since 1933 and has kept the scale it was built at.

There are only a handful of tables, the lighting is held low, and the brightest thing in the room comes in through the window.

The food travels further than the drinks do. Dumplings, sushi rolls, tostadas and kebabs sit on one page, split down the middle into a vegetarian column and a non-vegetarian one, and nothing on it is bigger than a plate you could eat standing up.

It is a room for the drink before dinner and the one after, rarely for dinner itself, and the seating says so: small tables set close, nothing built for a long sitting.
