Manor Suite

It runs 160 square metres, arranged around a sitting area and a bedroom with a walk-in closet off it. Individual climate control, a marble bathroom with a soaking tub and a separate shower, a balcony onto the Manor's own planting. The room is generous, and it is still not the reason to take it.

The reason is the gate you go through to reach it. The Manor is 20 suites and villas at the far end of the property with its own beach, its own adults-only pool and its own lounge, where afternoon tea and evening cocktails are laid out every day and breakfast can be taken instead of walking to Miri. Laundry is included, 4 garments a day, and so are the airport transfers, by BMW, both ways. Taking this suite rather than the Caroline Astor is a decision about which hotel you are staying in, not about 40 square metres.
