A covered terrace runs off the parlour through a line of horseshoe arches, furnished apart from the room inside it: dark woven armchairs with cream cushions piped in red, a low brass tray table for the tea service, and wall-mounted torch lanterns rather than the chandelier indoors.
It is the quieter of the two settings, screened from the pool by curtains that are tied back rather than drawn.
The tea list runs to dozens of blends, organised by character rather than origin, and the food that comes with it is built in 2 tiers: savoury bites first, a stand of pastries after. A short cocktail and mocktail list sits beside the tea for anyone drinking through the afternoon rather than around it.
