Getting to the table is part of the evening.
The lift opens onto a corridor with glass on both sides, and the last stretch of it crosses the gap between the two towers with the road a long way underneath.
The room works in shadow rather than in light. Texture is heavy, the lamps are kept low, and most of what you can see comes off the city through the windows.
The plates are built to be shared, so a table tends to order in waves and stop when it has had enough. The bar runs on its own clock: open at 5, before the kitchen, and still pouring at 1 on a Friday.
