One-Bedroom Pool Villa

The villas are separate buildings set down the slope among the trees, and the change from the main house is not size so much as ownership of the outside. Here the whole seaward wall slides away: a white sofa, a low oval table, timber boards running out onto the pool deck without a threshold, two parasols, and an infinity pool whose lip is set so that the water reads as continuous with the bay. A bare-branched tree stands over one corner of it. This grade has a panoramic sunset view, which the orientation of the hillside makes possible even though the bay itself faces east.

Inside there is a master bedroom with its own bathroom, a guest bathroom, a pantry, and indoor and outdoor dining. The second seating area converts to a sofa bed, which is how 3 people sleep in a one-bedroom villa; up to 2 of the 3 may be children. One king, a freestanding bathtub and a separate shower. Villa guests get villa-host service and scheduled morning yoga, rather than the full daily activity programme.
