The only one of the 3 cottages with the sea in the outlook, and that is the whole reason to take it. These are spread across the hillside directly above the beach, high enough to see over the trees and low enough for the water to be a real presence: from the window seat the Andaman sits between two palms, and from the sun deck it is a strip of blue below. Everything on this hill is reached through jungle walkways and steps and this grade is no exception, but its steps run down towards the sea rather than up away from it.
Inside is one room of 46 square metres, cool and grey — a super king, a sofa bed that makes it a room for 3, a window seat under the bay with a polished red sill, and a private sun deck outside with twin loungers on it. The bathroom is the better story here, not the bedroom: a rain shower, ample storage and a set of holiday things that runs from organic bath products to after-sun lotion.
