The first grade here that is genuinely a suite rather than a large room: a living room with a work desk, dining for 2, and the bedroom opening off it through a wide cased opening rather than a door, so the whole thing reads as one long space with the lake down one side. A burnt-orange tub chair, a low sofa, a pichwai on the wall, and a screened balcony door at the end of it.

The bath is the detail worth knowing. It is a walk-in shower and a separate tub, and the tub looks out at Lake Pichola, not at a light well and not at a mirror. There are 'His' and 'Hers' vanity counters and a separate water closet. The palace has 5 of these. Two guests, one child of 6 to 12 on an extra bed.
