This is 40 of the 88 keys, so it is the room most guests actually stay in, and the balcony is worth the step up for the obvious reason: at dusk you are outside for it rather than behind glass, with the folk music going on in the courtyard below. The doors open onto a pierced blue-and-white chevron rail, low enough to see the water over from a chair, with the Aravallis standing on the horizon over Pichola.

This is also the room that interconnects with the Maharaja Suite, which is how a family stays at the top of the building. Inside, the fittings are identical to the two rooms below: tarkashi inlay, gold silk, a pichwai, an armchair at the doors. Two guests, one child of 6 to 12 on an extra bed.
