Taj Club Premium Room

The room is 46 square metres under a gold-leafed ceiling, and the ceiling is doing more than decoration: it is why the room feels generous rather than merely large, and it is what people remember about it a year later.

The writing desk is turned to the light, which tells you what the room is for. It sits high enough up the club floors that the Lutyens canopy below is unbroken green, with India Gate in the view from some of them, and the lounge is a walk down the corridor rather than a lift ride. This is the room for a week of work, not a weekend of sightseeing.
