Machan is built of marble.
The tables are cut from it, and so are the carved jaali screens between them, which let the light through. Peacocks recur in the detailing, and everything else stays in earth tones.
The courtyard is open to the sky. Same kitchen, same menu, eaten outdoors.
The kitchen does not choose between India and Asia. Both sit on one list, and a table can run straight from one to the other.
