Lagoon Grand Deluxe

The entry room is 48 square metres, and it is the room the resort was rebuilt around. Taupe, paprika, blonde wood, woven rugs on a wood floor, rattan and wicker where a palace would use brass and marble. The Goan pieces on the walls were commissioned for the resort, and they are different room to room.

The balcony gives onto the planting and the lagoon behind it rather than onto the sea, which is the trade this whole resort makes: no surf, but stillness, coconut and mango close enough to touch, and the egrets that winter here standing in the water. The bathroom is marble, with a walk-in shower and a separate tub with spray jets. Ask for the king or the twin when you book — it is one room either way.
