Tree Pool House

The We-Ha read the universe and built off the ground to be nearer it, and this is the villa that carries the whole idea of the place. From outside it is a teardrop of split bamboo standing on a single stem in the trees; from inside it is 2 storeys of glass. Downstairs is a lounge and dining floor with a round daybed in the middle of it, a rattan pod chair hung from the ceiling at the open wall, and the pool on its plinth directly beyond. Upstairs is the master bedroom, in the branches, with curved glazing round most of it and a small terrace off the side.

The bathroom has a stone tub against grey crazy-paved stone under a boarded timber ceiling, a monsoon shower, an outdoor shower, and a separate guest washroom no other villa here has. It is the only one that takes 4 people and the only one with a second floor — which is worth weighing, because a staircase is the only way between them. Take it if you are two couples or a family, and take it if you simply want to sleep in the treetops.
