Royal Suite (della Gherardesca)

This is the oldest part of the palazzo, and it was once the nobles' own quarters. The gallery runs along a line of windows onto the garden, with 17th-century frescoes on its vaulted ceiling and a floor of painted Neapolitan majolica tiles by Ignazio Chiaiese. Red velvet armchairs stand along it under crystal chandeliers. The suite also has several living rooms, a dining space for 8, and a bedroom with a lilac-and-gold damask canopy over a gilt headboard.

There is one full marble bathroom with a soaking tub, and a separate powder room for guests. The suite takes 3 adults, or 2 adults and a child, with a rollaway bed and a crib on request.
