A bedroom hand-painted with birds and flowering branches across every wall, a frescoed ceiling border, and a red velvet headboard trimmed in gold.

Each is one open room, bedroom and sitting room together. The Granducato Suite is lined with 19th-century leather wallpaper, a Spanish fashion once thought grander than paper. In the San Gallo Suite, you look up from the bed at a white-and-gold coffered ceiling from the same century. The Volterrano Suite is papered in 19th-century Chinese silk, painted with flowers and exotic birds. The windows look over Borgo Pinti and the Giardino del Borgo.

The bathroom is marble. The suite takes 3 adults, or 2 adults and a child, with a rollaway bed or a crib on request, and it can be joined to the rooms beside it to make a 2- or 3-bedroom suite.
