Frescoed Executive Suite

The bedroom walls are painted with caryatids and garlands under a vaulted ceiling, with a crystal chandelier and a bed upholstered in purple. The fresco in the living room shows the della Gherardesca family settling in Pisa in the 16th century; below it are a cream sofa, lilac armchairs and a mahogany bookcase. Out of the windows is the Giardino del Borgo, a neighbour's garden.

The suite is on the first floor of Palazzo della Gherardesca, with one full marble bathroom and a powder room for guests. It sleeps 2 adults and 2 children of 10 or under, who share a rollaway bed, plus a baby of 2 or under in a crib. For a larger party it can be made into a 2-bedroom suite.
