Phang Nga Pool Room

The cheapest way into a private pool at this house, and the grade where indoor-outdoor stops being a phrase. The glass slides away completely along one side; outside there is a short lap of water set into the terrace, two grey-and-white striped daybeds on the gravel deck, and then nothing between you and Phang Nga Bay. Inside it is the turquoise half of the palette — a quilted turquoise headboard, a woven rug, a desk at the window — and there is a separate shower rather than a tub.

This grade used to be called the Verandah Room. What it adds over a Bay Room is a private pool and a deck. One king. Sleeps 3, with the third a child.
