There are 4 of these, set on the seaward slope so that the terrace looks down at the sea rather than across at palms. The pool is the shallow reflective kind Tuttle liked — it doubles the sky — and it sits on a broad timber deck with the dining area and the lounging sala at one end. Sliding doors run the length of the room, so the 50 square metres inside and the 97 outside stop being separate spaces after the first morning.

Inside, the king bedroom and its bathroom are flooded with light off the water, and that bathroom is one of the best here — twin vanities under a run of latticed timber, the deep tub beyond. It sleeps 3. If the sea is the point of the week rather than the pool, this is the first grade that gives it to you without qualification.
