Maharani Suite

The largest suite in the palace, at 450 square metres, and it was one woman's apartment. Pink, black and chrome, her own scheme, kept: a bedroom with a walk-in wardrobe, an expansive living room, and a dining room with a private kitchen behind it. Frette linen, and Makrana marble in the bathroom with a bath, a double vanity and a separate shower.

Then the terrace. It is private and it is long, it gives onto the palace gardens, and at the end of it Mehrangarh sits 400 feet up over the blue city. Nobody has to tell you when to go out onto it; the light does. Take it for a wedding, an anniversary, or the sort of week that happens once, and take it knowing that it sleeps 2, like every other room here.
