Luxury Room

This is the cheapest way to sleep inside the 1903 building, and what it costs you is daylight: these are the Palace's interior rooms and they have no window. It is 33 square metres, with a king bed, a writing desk, a fan turning slowly under the cornice, and a small alcove off the bedroom holding two chairs and a table. Everything is lamplight. You will sleep better than you have in a year, and you will not know what time it is when you wake.

The reason to take it anyway is that the building is on the other side of the door: the staircase, the corridors, the domes seen from underneath, the courtyard at 6 in the morning. None of that is inside a room at any price. Start here and spend the difference on an extra night.
