Luxury Suite

You come into a drawing room, not a lobby with a sofa in it. Gilded columns stand at both ends, the walls are panelled in painted blossom, and there are tan leather sofas at one end and a round table at the other that 6 people can eat at without moving anything.

That is what the 56 square metres are for: a lunch, a meeting that runs into a drink, a family that wants to eat together on the last night. The space has gone to the front half of the suite rather than the back.

The bedroom behind is quieter than it: a quilted pink headboard the width of the wall, a long bench at the foot, a window onto the pool. It is where you sleep, and it is meant to be.
