Two of the 4 bedrooms are masters, and all 4 have an ensuite with a deep soaking tub and a rain shower. There are two living areas — the first opens onto the upper pool through a full-height window filled entirely by trees, with a green chaise and a pair of armchairs on pale stone and a black glazed cabinet against the wall; the second is upstairs. Between them sit a full kitchen, a dining room that will take the whole party, and a private gym behind a screen of vertical timber slats with the garden showing through.
The pools are the thing people remember. There is one on each floor, and the upper one runs out to a rim edge over the jungle canopy with loungers down one side, so that swimming in it you are level with the treetops. The planting round the whole plot is dense and deliberate. It sleeps 12, which makes this the answer for 2 or 3 families travelling together, and it is arranged through the concierge.
A child is 12 or under.
The free bed goes into a king-bedded room. From 13 the figure is before tax, and it covers the bed and breakfast.
A cot goes into a king-bedded room in place of the extra bed.
