Lakeshore Signature – Non Island Room

The trade here is geography rather than quality: you are on the shore rather than on the island, which the room's own name says plainly. What you get for it is 60 square metres, a balcony over the lake, and the whole of the island in front of you rather than underneath you.

Inside it is the Lakeshore register: soft blue panelled walls with a fretwork cornice, a king bed, a writing desk against the far wall, a blue velvet chaise, and lilies on the side table. The bathroom is the detail worth knowing — a claw-footed cast-iron bath standing on stone in front of a painted panel of boats on the lake, with a separate rain shower behind glass. Two guests and a child, and the boat to the island runs all day.
