Flamingo Signature Room with Plunge Pool

The doors are the same full-width doors as the balcony room, and what is on the other side of them is different in kind rather than in degree: a walled piece of lawn that is yours, a small blue rectangle set into it, a stone deck, and a scalloped canopy over two loungers. Below suite level, this is the only private water on the island.

The lake is not lost, either: over the top of the hedge, Udai Sagar and the hills are there. Inside, it is the same Flamingo room — pale panelling, the carved cartouche, the fan, the walk-in wardrobe — and the point of it is that you can go from the bed into the water without meeting anybody. Two guests and a child.
