Flamingo Signature Room with Garden

What this room gives you is a garden rather than a view. You are on the island, in the same building as every suite and in the same room as the balcony and plunge-pool versions, and on the other side of the doors is greenery that belongs to you with a hedge round it. Coffee outside, in your own patch, before the day gets going.

The rooms are named for the lesser flamingos that come to the lake, and the design puts Mughal, Rajasthani and European in one room. Pale panelled walls in cream and blue-grey, a grey printed pelmet over the bed, an inlaid side table, a fan under the cornice, and doors standing open at the far end. A walk-in wardrobe, a 55-inch screen, a safe, a kettle, and the house's own bathroom amenities. Two guests and a child.
