Deluxe Garden Room

Identical in vocabulary to the room above — scalloped terracotta arch, cane and beam ceiling, brass lantern, kilim, mashrabiya cabinetry, sunken tub — and different in exactly one respect, which is the door. Instead of a balcony you get a paved terrace with a bench and a lounger on it, then grass, then a crenellated wall at chest height, and then the desert. In the morning the sun comes up the far side of that wall and throws the shape of the crenellations across the lawn.

It is the practical room. Ground floor means no lift and no stairs with a case, the shortest walk to breakfast, the pool and the lobby lounge, and a room a child can be let out of. The trade is the sightline: a wall in the middle distance is a wall, and the rooms upstairs see over it. Sold with a king or with twins under one name; interconnecting pairs exist and serve as extra bedrooms for the Anantara Suite.
