Palm Manor Executive Suite

It is 30 square metres larger than the Beachfront Junior Suite, and it sits in the middle of the resort rather than on the sand. What you give up is the beach outside the door. What you get is a separate lounge with an L-shaped sofa, a king bedroom with a bench at the foot and an armchair by the window, a spa-inspired bathroom with a freestanding tub in front of a carved lattice screen, and a terrace that runs the width of the suite.

The terrace is the point. Plush daybeds at one end, a dining table at the other, an iron balustrade across the front and a scalloped terracotta arch framing the whole thing — you eat out there. Below and beyond it are the gardens, the palms and the grand pool. It takes 4 guests at most, 3 of them adults, with an interconnecting room on request — which is how the two-bedroom version is made.
