The largest thing at The Residence, and the clearest expression of what the estate is for: 118 square metres, and a ceiling of 2 adults. No third person, no child, no exceptions. What that buys is a suite laid out for a couple who intend to spend time in it rather than pass through — a living room that unfolds into the bedroom rather than being partitioned off it, handcrafted furniture, carved wood against soft neutrals, and a bathroom with an oversized tub under an arched screened window.
The private terrace is 11 square metres, with proper lounge seating, looking over the gardens with the sea past them. The service is the other half of it: a personal host, breakfast and afternoon tea daily, a 60-minute treatment each per stay, the adults-only pool, The Dining Room and the Library Bar. If the reason for the trip is quiet, this is the room on the estate that gives it.
A child is 11 or under.
