Take this one for the terrace: 60 square metres of it, 4 times what any other grade on the estate gets, laid out as a majlis with long cushioned benches and low tables under a lattice rail, palms below and Palm Island Bay, the Gulf and the towers of Dubai Marina spread across the front of it. It is the only outdoor space here big enough to have people over on, and at 6 in the evening it is the best seat in the resort.

Inside is richly worked in a way the rest of Arabian Court is not: the bed under a canopy of hung silk with carved panels either side, a living room of two facing sofas and a pair of armchairs, a dining area with a round table under a hanging lantern, and a marble bathroom. A floor of 145 square metres, 4 guests, 3 of them adults. The rate includes DRIFT access and, on stays of 3 nights or more, a 60-minute spa treatment per person — this suite only, not an estate-wide benefit.
