Villa One

One&Only puts a Villa One in each of its resorts and this is the city version — the same idea taken vertical, at the top of the hotel, with Jean-Michel Gathy's hand more visible here than anywhere else in the building. Two storeys. Downstairs, 3 distinct living rooms, a dining table for 20, a working kitchen, a study and a cinema; upstairs, the master bedroom, its bathroom and a second living room. There is a gym in it. There is a private pool on the terrace with daybeds along it, which at this height is not a small thing to build.

It sleeps 6 across 2 bedrooms and opens into adjoining rooms for 12, so it is taken by a family or a party rather than by a couple. The rate carries an unusual amount: a complimentary bar, one in-villa dinner with a chef, afternoon tea for 4 once, an hour of personal training every day, 2 treatments and 2 Longevity assessments, priority at every restaurant in the building, and cars from the airport.
