A step in scale rather than in decoration. The living room is laid out to be used by more people than are staying — a dining table, a pantry behind it and a proper bar-style refreshment centre, so 8 people can come up for a drink without anything being wheeled in. Floor-to-ceiling glass runs the length of it and the city does the rest.

Behind a door is a bedroom with a dressing room off it and a bathroom with a deep soaking tub. The signature suites are where the transfers start: return airport cars are in the rate, and early check-in and late check-out stop being subject to a shrug. It is 6 square metres smaller than the Skyline Loft and costs a good deal less, which makes the choice between the two worth thinking about.
