The extra 300 square feet are a sitting room, and that is the reason to take one. A green leather Chesterfield at the foot of the bed, a writing desk under the window, an escritoire against the wall, and enough floor between them that somebody can bring a drink in without you having to sit on the bed to receive it. On a two-night stay that is a luxury. On a 5-night stay it is the difference between a hotel room and somewhere you live.
No two are alike, which is what happens when a family furnishes a house instead of a chain fitting one out. One has inlaid marble underfoot and equestrian paintings over the bed; one has dark green walls, a wooden floor and a photograph of a tiger in the grass; one keeps a whole wall as bare rubble stone with a glass chandelier hung in front of it. The view is the same hills every other room here gets, the marble bathroom is the same standard, and the walk to the pool is the same walk. Take a Suite for the sitting room, and let the house tell you which one you are getting.
