The Royal Suite idea extended to 3 bedrooms: painted timber-beamed ceilings over marble floors, a dining room with an inlaid table on a carved base and gold mashrabiya panels behind it, reception rooms opening onto a terrace that runs 84 square metres along the front, and brass and gilt where the rest of the house uses plaster and lantern-light. It is the largest thing Al Qasr has.

It is also the only room here that will take a party: 12 guests, of whom 9 may be adults, against 4 and 3 in almost every other grade. Club privileges and return airport transfers come with it. It is arranged through the concierge; give them your dates. The Tourism Dirham is levied per bedroom, so this suite pays it 3 times a night.
