Two Bedroom Palace Suite

The palace suite doubled. Two bedrooms, each with a king, a living room large enough to hold a party in, a dining area, and bathrooms finished in Spanish marble with an oversized tub and a hot tub. The silk on the walls is embroidered rather than printed.

It takes 6, which makes it the right room for two couples or a family that wants a door between the generations, and it has more floor than the Royal Suite. If you want the palace itself without the gold leaf, this is the room.

The room

The living room — pale sofas and gilt chairs on a patterned floor under a crystal chandelier, pilasters and applied mouldings on every wall, and an arched window onto the sea.

The dressing room: a run of mirrored and panelled wardrobe doors round three sides, a stool set in the middle of a patterned marble floor and an arched niche at the end.

A bedroom of the two-bedroom Palace Suite: a shell-crested headboard beneath a gold dome ceiling, a television and console at the foot of the bed, and an arched terrace door standing open to a hazy view over the rooftops outside.
