The bedroom, with arched doors on two sides — a bed against a fluted headboard wall under a gold ceiling panel, a bench at its foot and pale timber floors throughout.

The corner suite's sweep of glass, put down where the Beachfront Suite is, so the arc of water and the sand at the end of the terrace arrive together. A separate living room, a dining area, a king behind its own door, and a bathroom with a jacuzzi in it.

It connects to another suite, which is how a party takes the whole of this stretch of beach. Also very few, and the last of the suites before the palace ones.

The living room under a shell-shaped gilt ceiling rose: cream sofas and armchairs round a low table, a burr-walnut cabinet at the right and the dining room visible through the opening.

The suite's own courtyard — a two-storey arcade of pointed arches around a planted bed and a stone path, seating set back in the shade, and date palms over the far wall.
