Oak laid like a ship's deck underfoot, travertine and pale plaster on the walls, a woven headboard running the full width behind the bed, a scarlet-bordered blanket folded across it, and a sofa and a writing desk that are actually usable rather than decorative. The bathroom has both a tub and a walk-in shower, which at this size is not a given.

The balcony is not an extra here. Every room and suite in the building has one, and it is built as a second living room, with seating and a breakfast table.
